Venti di Cultura is a non-profit organization, established in 2006.
It promotes the value of cultural itineraries, aiming to show how such land and water routes can help communities and territories find their unity.
The cultural routes are organized together with institutions, local stakeholders, and testimonies of traditional art and craft. All Venti di Cultura’s actions are collected in multimedia productions. Private and public funds are collected by the partners and thanks to international projects’ prize.
Our objectives and contents are inspired by the Council of Europe’s Faro Convention on the value of cultural heritage for society. Venti di Cultura’ projects foster identity, collective memory and mutual understanding within communities; therefore we ask the participation of local testimonies who help us to enrich the archives of the tangible and intangible heritage.
The projects we are working on are both national and international. Within our Cultural Routes we keep implementing: On the Wings of the Lion, a trail along the Adriatic coast; Cathedrals of the Sea, the industrial archeology facing the Italian shores; Venice Lagoon Heritage, an interpretive route within mainland and islands aiming to establish a widespread museum; Archive of the Earthquake villages’ memory, not to forget the communities’ identity. Venti di Cultura takes also part in various International partnerships: we are proud to enhance the contents of Culturnet, Garum, River of Opportunities, I_Improve and Finding Country as the Italian partner of European teams.
